Grateful for Oma and Opa's visit and sad to see their journey coming to an end.

Enjoying the book Happy Money and content with the decision to put Harvest of Hope aside for now, as I found it simply too disturbing to continue at this time.

Feeling blessed to live in such an amazing country.

Truly enjoying the benefits of our new juicer.  Our favorite juice as of date is orange, carrot, ginger!  Yum!

Looking forward to a possible family hike on Sunday - oh, how I love to be surrounded by tall trees and open meadows!

New Beginnings

It is a new beginning for our family.

 Noah started Kindergarten this week, which for a mother is a bitter-sweet moment.

We are grateful for his new found independence, but there is an urge inside that longs to keep him close to our sides.

Life is one big lesson on letting go and I am taking that in stride this week.

All of life has its seasons and today is our season to spread our wings and move on to a new found beginning.

Noah we love you, we wish you every happiness on your new journey!

 And all the flowers you ask.  

Well, we needed a bit of color and cheer this week, but they are also a way to welcome Oma and Opa!

Yep, we have family with us for three weeks and we plan to absorb all of them in that time.

So, welcome Oma and Opa and may your stay be as sweet as your arrival!

It is sad to say that our last and final trip is now behind us.

We have been blessed with incredible weather this summer for all four of our Alpine adventures. 

It has been a full and fabulous summer and now our bags (at least for the meantime) are officially unpacked.

And now we look forward to welcoming Oma and Opa in a few short days!

Happy 11th Anniversary!

Well, here we are celebrating our 11th (gulp) anniversary.

In our 11 years of marriage, we have:

Moved 4 times,  1 of which was our BIG international move - here we are in Basel, Switzerland

Welcomed 2 beautiful children into our lives

Said I Do twice

And had the joy of visiting 16+ countries

We have experienced tremendous love and excruciating loss in our 11 years together, but through it all, we have stuck together.

Each day, we are happy we made the right choice by selecting each other and look forward to where this road of marriage takes us in the future.

You keep up with your big brother and make us smile with your strength. 

We love the terms you come up with, such as, “Of course” and when we miss the tram, that little voice that utters, “That is OK, we can buy a new one.” 

Oh, Tessa, we love you and on this special day we celebrate you and the two years you have graced us with your incredible presence.  

 If ever a mother and father were to dream up the perfect daughter, you would certainly be it.
