Summer Part II

Bouncy castles = a ton of fun!

This summer is turning out to be wonderful.
Days spent in the forest with an amazing camp, time spent together as a family swimming and playing.
We have created things (crafts, soap, lip balm and hair gel), indulged in some deliciously refreshing pool time, tried out some new sports and are now gearing up for an incredible trek up North.
We are reading The English Patient, which is a remarkable tale and I am thoroughly enjoying reading those words as they dance across the page.  A true delight.
Listening to Jose Gonzalez a bit more because they are just too good to pass up at the moment.
Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
Noah at forest camp.  We are so proud of how mature he is becoming and how he just rolls with things lately.
Who doesn't love ice cream in the summer?
Making a wish or eating a mango.

Summer...

 Summer....
We are enjoying the summer.
Noah loved his week at sports camp and did a great job!
Tessa finished her German class with a picnic with her friends in the park.
We are enjoying parks, pools and good friends!
Had a beautiful visit to the Butterfly park.
Listening and loving Jose Gonzalez.
Enjoyed the movie Walter Mitty.
Counting down the days until our next trip or shall I say, the BIG adventure?

Happy Birthday Robert!

Happy Birthday to the man who walked into my life some 19 years ago and decided to etch a place for himself right in the center of my heart.  From the moment I opened the door for you, we were connected. Our bond was immediate and our love grew strong with time.  Who knew that on that day, our lives would forever be intertwined?  Life has a funny way of surprising us and granting us with our greatest gifts.

Today, we celebrate you and we wish you all the best as you turn the page on a new chapter of your life.  I have a feeling this is going to be an incredibly awesome year for you, but then again, I wouldn’t except anything less, as you are most deserving of every happiness.  The same happiness you have brought to my life for the last 19 years.

Thank you Robert for being the most devoted life partner anyone could ever ask for. You have always been there for you me from holding my hand as I have been wheeled off to surgery, to carrying me through some of my darkest days.  Whenever I opened my eyes, you were there to lend a kind smile and a heartfelt embrace, the very embrace that has and continues to feel like home.

You have brought me with you on this journey through life and it has far exceeded every expectation I had ever dreamed of.  Our past is rich and varied, our future unknown, yet I know it will be rich with colors, adventures and deeply exciting with you at my side.

Thank you for giving me the two miraculous children who now refer to me as Mom and to you as Dad.  We have grown our union from two to four and each time I glance into the eyes that together we created, I am so very grateful that all those years ago the stars aligned so that our lives would weave together creating a story that I love to tell and am anxious to continue to write!

Happy Birthday Robert!
