Sunday

 Whew...what a beautiful day!
We took a day trek to Faulensee and hiked along the gorgeous lake to Spiez.
There is something about this time of year that begs me to get out and see and do as much as humanly possible.  May no day pass without getting outside, for in a short time, we will retreat inside more and more frequently.
The children were happy (well most of the time) playing at playgrounds with incredible views (what a life they have), swimming in the lake (18c...too cold for us), picnicking in the shade and hiking up to stunning castles.

We are feeling ever so grateful to live in this amazingly beautiful country.
That was a lovely weekend rich with fresh air, exercise and stunning views...it never, ever gets old.
Many thanks to my crew for coming along on the journey with me!
 Snacks by the water.
 Time to play.
 Searching for stones.
 Ahhh...the light!
 More walking.
A little game of Uno while eating plums on the grass....this is the life.
 By the lake...
 The beautiful castle.
Blessed indeed!

We Are...

We are celebrating the Swiss National Day by getting into the Alps and doing what we love best...hiking with the children.
This weekend, a visit to Hasliberg to enjoy the Muggestutz Dwarf trail.
So beautiful, and so magical.
Here's to nine years of Swiss life.  Thank you Switzerland!

Each station - a new task to complete.  This one was to climb a tree and touch the star.
 For Poline.
Not bad views from the swing!
Dwarf clothes hanging out to dry.
 Taking in the views.

At the start of the trail day two.
 Another tree to climb.
 Fun in the creek!
 What did they find?
 Having fun in the meadow.
 Ahhh...we missed this.

Dwarf houses - this trail is too cute!

Busy carving sticks while waiting for the bus.
Perfect timing - a HUGE storm on the way down from the mountain.  The rain was unbelievable.
