Get Well!

"They" say when it rains it pours...I guess "they" are right.

Thursday morning poor Tessa woke up with the pukes.
Luckily her illness didn't last long and by the end of the day, she was feeling much better.
Our bright, chipper gal was back to herself.

Saturday evening I started to feel like I was hit in the stomach by a 2 x 4.
I am not sure what it is, but ever since I reached my 30's getting any kind of stomach virus, whether it be a bug, food poisoning, or getting pregnant has laid me flat on on the floor.
I get sicker than S.I.C.K.
I get the kind of sick that makes you ache for relief and humble in disbelief at what has just occurred.
You feel gross on the inside and gross on the outside and you long to roll up into a ball and simply cease to exist.
That happened again this weekend.
That has happened a lot in my 30's and each time it takes a bit longer to get over.

And then on Sunday, poor Noah came down with a high fever and did nothing but sit on the couch wasted in fever and exhaustion.
We let him be.
Monday we called him out of school took him on walks to get fresh air, put on lemon socks (which work remarkably well) and dished out the Arnica tablets to ease his aches and pains.
Today he feels better and is back in school.
I hope the day goes well for him.
I do hate to see my children sick and luckily they do not get sick that often.
Whew! Amen to that!

And today it is overcast and raining.
It makes perfect sense you see.
Sometimes we need rainy days to just be.
To forget the need to run around, to be social, to please.
We need days when the rain falls so that we too, can start to recover.

May it be a week of rest for everyone.
