We Are...

 We Are...
Eating up the beauty of the spring.
Listening to German podcasts and doing my best to learn more of this tricky language.
Grateful we are able to enjoy so many remarkable hikes not far from our home.
Listening to The Paper Kites some more!
Reading with Noah in German.
Unable to wrap my arms around the fact that Noah only has four weeks left of 1st grade and that Tessa will start Kindergarten in the fall.  Oh, sigh.
Gearing up for summer!

 Gorgeous hikes!
 The top of Gempen.
 On our way.
 Well - marked trails...so nice!
 Making it happen!
This picture...be still heart, be still.
 Finding loads of tadpoles.
 Checking it all out.
The Iris' are in full bloom!

We Are...

 We Are...
Grateful for amazing weather this weekend!
So happy we made the trek to the Luzern area to hike in the glorious sunshine.
Blessed that my family loves being outside as much as I do.
Proud of our two little ones for always coming along for long hikes with us!
Listening to the Paper Kites and adoring each and every song!
We are meeting great friends at local parks.
Enjoying the rain now.
Listening to awesome podcasts.
Looking forward to another full week.
Wishing everyone a very happy Sunday!
 T enjoying the views.
 Whew...awesome views on our hike!
 Following the Wanderweg!
Noah and Robert deep in conversation on the trail.
 Noah enjoying the views.
My sweet, sweet girl.  Completely asleep on the way down the mountain.  She did a great job!

The Things She Says...

Mom:  "Tessa, please put all of the yogurt in the shake."
Tessa:  "Yes Captain Mom!"

Mom:  "Tessa, when is your school festival?"  "Is it on the weekday or the weekend?"
Tessa:  "I guess it is on the weekday or the weekend."
Mom:  "Oh, ok, that explains it all."

Tessa:  "Mom, I was cold in school until I got hot."

Mom:  "Tessa, I am so grateful you are my daughter."
Tessa:  "I am so grateful Santa brought me a purse for Christmas."

Tessa:  "Mom, my tummy hurts.  Maybe I'll get diarrh-rita."
Mom:  "Yeah, maybe."

Tessa:  "Mom, I am a little bit hot and cold at the same time.  Isn't that interesting?
Mom:  "Yes, Tessa, that is very interesting!"

Tessa:  "My Finken smell like Daddy's feet."
Robert:  "Hmmm...."

Tessa:  "Mommy, what do you call those flowers?"
Mom:  "Tessa, they are called Peonies."
Tessa:  "Oh, they are nice panties."
Mom:  "No, they are called Peonies."
Tessa:  "Panties?"
Mom:  Laughing so hard at the grocery store, I started to cry.  "They are peonies Tessa."
Tessa:  "I know that is what I said, Panties!"

We Are...

 We Are...
We are wishing Poline and my Mom a beautiful Mother's Day!  Enjoy!
We did it, we took the kids out of school for a long week and went to Mallorca, Spain!
We enjoyed absolutely perfect weather for the three full days we were there.
We had a fabulous time reconnecting with dear, old friends.
We played in the ocean.
We remembered why we love Mallorca so very much - the people, the gorgeous ocean, the food, and friends!
We feel rejuvenated after seeing loads of sun, sand and surf!
We are grateful for our health and our time together as a family!
